Terms of Use

ploynt is a private archive project, not a commercial offering (details in the Legal notice). This page still sets out what applies when you take part — an account, a comment, or a forum post follows the same basic rules as everywhere else online, just written down more briefly.

Account

One account per person. Your username appears under every post you make and is public — think about what you choose. Your email address is only used to sign in and is never shown (see Privacy policy). An account can simply be left unused at any time; full deletion on request is also possible, just write to info@ploynt.com.

What You Post Here

Comments, forum posts, guestbook entries, gallery images, submitted LAN parties — that content stays yours, but you grant ploynt the right to display it as part of the site. You're responsible for what you post: don't infringe on anyone else's rights, don't post anything that would be illegal elsewhere. Moderators and editors may hide, move, or delete posts when necessary — for threads and comments, hiding is preferred over deleting wherever possible, so nothing just disappears.

PLoints

PLoints are a playful tally for taking part — writing, uploading, commenting, showing up. They have no monetary value, can't be bought, sold, or exchanged for real money, and are only valid within the site, for example in the PLoints shop for cosmetic profile extras.

The Archive

A large part of the content — articles, comments, forum posts, profiles — comes from the original 2006–2011 database and is shown for archival purposes, unedited. The opinions expressed are those of the authors at the time, not of the current operator. Anyone who wrote here back then and would rather not appear in the archive can also get in touch at info@ploynt.com.

Liability

ploynt is a hobby project with no guarantee of constant availability or being error-free. No responsibility is taken for content on linked external sites.

Changes

This page may change if the service changes. Continuing to take part means accepting the current version.
